There is some slightly positive news in the world of Covid-19.
A report from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was released on Thursday and revealed that Covid-19 was the 10th leading cause of death for the year 2023.
This is a significant drop from its standing as fourth leading cause of death in 2022.
According to the CDC, these were the top ten leading causes of death in 2023:
1) Heart Disease
2) Cancer
3) Unintentional Injury
4) Stroke
5) Chronic Lower Respiratory Diseases
6) Alzheimer Disease
7) Diabetes
8) Kidney Disease
9) Chronic Liver Disease and Cirrhosis
10) Covid-19
